DescriptiongtgWx is the third app in the got-to-go Boating app suite from gtgVentures. Wx is your companion marine weather tool that pulls together in a single app the NOAA weather information most needed by boaters. The summary view shows at a single glance Sea, Wind and Air conditions immediately around you including any Special Weather Alerts or Advisories. It also gives you quick access to NOAAs Regional Area Synopsis and recent weather Radar. Tapping the tabs for Sea, Wind or Air reveals the current reported measurements for the selected category organized by distance from the requested location. Very quickly, the user can see the most relevant weather elements throughout the region they intend to operate starting with the area closest to the request.Engineered for boaters, the apps focus is on the Sea conditions tab where the most detail is shown of the three segments. Sea displays the marine forecast, nearby reporting buoys, and tides, including substations. Tap the Alert symbol when it appears in the Summary view to read the latest alerts from NOAA. The app is even usable onshore. When the requested location is over land, the NOAA land forecast is shown in place of the marine forecast in the sea tab and the reported location shows as the city name.
