Description

iCab Mobile is a web browser for the iOS. It provides many unique and useful features you won't find in other iPhone browsers.

SEARCHING:
iCab Mobile comes with several default search engines you can choose from. You can easily add new search engines. Search suggestions from google and yahoo can be activated on the iPad. It's also possible to search within a web page.

FILLING OUT FORMS:
iCab Mobile can save web forms and restore the form content later (manually or automatically). The saved forms data can be password protected.

FILTER:
There's a built-in and customizable URL-based filter. The default filters block many advertising banners. You can edit, add or remove filters. It's possible to switch off images to save bandwidth.

TABS:
iCab Mobile supports Tabs, so you can open multiple web pages at the same time. Links can be opened in Tabs (in the foreground or background) manually or automatically. iCab can save the tabs when quitting so these can be loaded even when being offline, the next time the App is launched.

BOOKMARKS:
Bookmarks can be organized in folders. You can import/export the bookmarks from/to your PC/Mac browser. Bookmarks can be also saved as "Offline Bookmarks" which can be even opened without an internet connection.

FULLSCREEN MODE:
iCab Mobile provides a fullscreen mode where the whole screen is used to display the web page. No screen space is wasted for toolbars.

DOWNLOADS:
iCab Mobile has a built-in Download Manager so you can download almost all files from the internet. The downloads can be easily transfered to a Mac/PC/Linux computer but also to other Apps on the device which can open these files (iOS 3.2 or newer required).

SCROLLING
The unique "Scrollpad" feature lets instantly scroll to any location within a web page (Tap with three fingers on the screen to activate the Scrollpad).

GUEST MODE
iCab Mobile itself can be password protected. When password protection is on, you can enable a guest mode with limited privileges which is available without a password. The guest mode can have its own subset of bookmarks and search engines.

DROPBOX
iCab Mobile supports Dropbox. Export/Import bookmarks; transfer downloads, images, files, web pages to your Dropbox account.

What's New in Version 5.8

- iCab adds support for separator lines within bookmarks. These are also supported when exporting and importing bookmarks.

- Within the Bookmarks, History, Reading list etc. you can now use the tap-and-hold gesture to open the pages in a new Tab or background Tab (iOS 3.2 and later).

- New Option in the "Customize Toolbar" settings where you can switch on/off the title line within the toolbar. When switching the title OFF there will be a little bit more room for the web page.

- Traditional Chinese localization added.

- iCab also supports Kanbox, a Chinese cloud storage similar to Dropbox. iCab can either use Dropbox or Kanbox, which of these services is used can be configured in the "External Storage" settings within the "Settings" App of the device.

- iCab does now recognize YouTube URLs using "https" and provides a link to the native YouTube App (via Icon at the left of the URL field).

- Added a new module to create a short URL for the current web page. The Module can use several different URL shortener services, use the module settings, to select the service.

- Fixes an issue in the Dropbox-Framework so that iCab will now save the access token for the Dropbox account in the keychain.

- Fixes an issue with some text encodings when saving web pages as web archives.

- Fixes a bug in the Quix module so that custom command files can be used again.

Best iPad browser ever (5 stars)
iCab is everything you could make Safari if you were Apple's CEO. Users can define over a dozen gestures to one of 20 odd tasks. The menus are completely customizable. Even the toolbar is up for grabs. It syncs with Firefox bookmarks, plays well with an impressive number of other apps. It's fast and reliable, and the developer has a great track record of stable, regular updates.

needs "movable" file select menu. (4 stars)
nice and descent browser.
but sometimes it can't detect correct position of upload form. then file select menu appears at the top / bottom / side / somewhere on the screen, making fool of me. (upload is possile but can't use whole menu..)
so it really needs to be movable.
if it gets fixed, i'll give five stars..
