Attendance2 is a new app from the developer of the original iOS Attendance app. It is a complete rewrite of the app to support feature requests that the initial app could not support and to take better advantage of new iOS features since the original app was developed using iOS 2.0. This new app uses a separate data file for each course so the file format is not compatibile. If you were using the original Attendance app and want to switch to this one, I recommend you start at the beginning of a new term since you cannot import the existing attendance records. I will continue to support the original app at least through iOS 6 so you may continue using it if you prefer.

Attendance2 allows you to take, keep, and report attendance records. Its main intended use is for teachers to keep track of records for their classes, but it is also flexible enough to support group meetings and paid courses such as aerobic, martial arts, etc.

The attendance statuses are completely customizable and the app supports two separate statuses and a note for each person/student per date.

While the new app does not yet have all the features of the existing app, I do plan to add most of the features that are in the current app. The one major features missing is the random functionality. I plan to add this in the near future (hopefully before September 2012) and will continue to update the app regularly as I have time to work on it.
