And with the iPads built-in GPS and mapping, your subject is accurately mapped for you, and your comparables' addresses are scrubbed against our own GeoData servers. Filling out onsite inspection forms is done with a few taps of your finger, and every data gathering screen is completely customizable to fit your individual workflow. The large screen on the iPad provides plenty of room for QuickLists and Forms to be side-by-side. By syncing QuickLists back and forth to your desktop, you can virtually eliminate redundant typing in the field. TOTAL for iPad also includes a customizable Critical Fields list, so you can always be sure you gathered all the data you need while in the field and at the property. TOTAL lets you quickly and easily draw accurate floorplans with your fingertip -- even complex properties. Thanks to the multi-touch interface, drawing walls, defining areas, and placing labels and symbols is as easy as swipe and tap. You can also add photos of the subject and comps, or anything you need to document, using the iPads optional camera connection kit or the built-in camera in the iPad 2. And if thats not enough, use TOTAL for iPads handy voice notes feature, which saves your voice recordings in your Digital Workfile in WinTOTAL. When youre done, TOTAL for iPad sends the entire file back to your office and syncs it into your WinTOTAL or TOTAL desktop. What's New in Version December 18, 2011 UpdateThis update brings improvements to both the data gathering and sketch portions of TOTAL for iPad, many of which are directly based on your feedback. You now have the ability to copy and paste symbols, labels, and areas within the sketcher. And, area types are no longer automatically assigned after closing an area. We’ve added a new EasyAngle tool that makes drawing and adjusting angles a snap. Zooming out is now easier than ever by simply double tapping to fit your sketch to screen. These are just a few of the improvements we’ve made, read the full list below to see everything that’s changed.• The backspace icon on the delete/backspace key on the keyboard has been replaced with "Delete" • Tapping on a label while in Modify mode now allows you to rotate the label using the rotation dial • Double tapping on the background of a sketch now auto-zooms the sketch to fit to screen • Double tapping on a symbol now auto-zooms the sketch to the symbol • Double tapping on a line now auto-zooms the sketch to the line • Tapping and holding on an area for 2 seconds now brings up a menu that allows you to copy the area • Tapping and holding on an symbol for 2 seconds now brings up a menu that allows you to copy the symbol • Tapping and holding on an label for 2 seconds now brings up a menu that allows you to copy the label • Tapping and holding on the sketch for 2 seconds now brings up a menu allowing you to paste an area, label or symbol that has been copied • Tapping and holding on an area for 2 seconds now displays a menu that allows you to hide the dimension labels for that area • Tapping and holding on an area for 2 seconds now displays a menu that allows you to hide the area labels for that area • New EasyAngle feature that makes drawing angled lines easier than ever • Rooms created from labels placed onto the sketch now have the correct "Level" set based on the type of area in which they were placed • New toolbar icon that allows you to add custom ad-hoc text • The image of the sketch drawn on the iPad is now embedded within the FieldData.pdf that is placed into the Workfile when syncing with the desktop • Closing an area now prompts you to define what area you just drew instead of automatically defining the area. • Tapping on a symbol that is on top of a line now selects the symbol instead of the line. • Modifying a line in an open area that brings the area to a close will now close the area properly. • Changing the sketch measurements to "Feet & Inches" and opening a sketch that was done with "Decimal Feet" measurements no longer causes a crash. • New "decimal precision" option in Settings that allows you to set the decimal precision for dimension labels. The default setting is one decimal spot. • Drawing a line that ends within a configurable value of the beginning point of an area will now close the area. The value can be customized from Settings to be .1, .25, .5 or 1 ft. • New help icon that displays the scrolling help text within a static view. • Using the arrow keys on the keyboard while in place cursor mode will now move the cursor. • The camera now displays correctly when taking a comparable photo with the iPad in portrait orientation. • Multi-field QuickLists now fill out all the fields they are supposed to • TOTAL for iPad now correctly adds up wood stoves and fireplaces from rooms within the report • The Map & Geo Data tool for comparables now retrieves the Distance to Subject in a UAD compliant format. • New "Save Copy to Camera Roll" option in Settings that allows you to save any photo taken from within TOTAL to the Camera Roll on the device.
